Pastor Arnold Murray and the Shepherd's Chapel Student's Sarcastic Questions Backfire

Your subject is interesting. As I stipulated on my website. Unlike the Shepherd's Chapel, which asks for donations constantly and makes merchandise of it's teachings, I don't ask for donations or beg at the end of every study like they do. I don't need anyone's money, of course, because I don't need a private airplane or ministry owned car to drive me around like Arnold Murray did. My ministry is not brought to you by your tithes and offerings or anyone else's. The cost of my teaching ministry is about $200 per year. I got that covered.

WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK IN THE BIBLE THAT YOU’VE FINISHED? THE ENTIRE BOOK?

The most recent book I finished teaching was the entire book of the Acts of the Apostles. This was, of course, a verse by verse study of every single line in the book. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET THROUGH THE BOOK OF PSALMS?

Dozens of hours, but my Psalms teaching dates back to the time I still followed Pastor Murray's teachings (pre-2005), so it is kind of spoiled by that. I still have to do a new one for the web.

If you have a problem with something I'm doing, then maybe you ought to say what it is! Hmmmm? Instead of making a bunch of ignorant comments based on what you presume I don't do. I teach the bible. You assumed I didn't, well, now you know otherwise, don't you?

How much have you studied to “show yourself approved”

My credentials are my ability to teach the bible. Is that good enough for you? No?

I'll tell you what, I did have a teacher once, in my youth, my teacher's name was Arnold Murray. When I was 19 (in the year 1993), I started studying with Arnold Murray and the Shepherd's Chapel, 4 hours or more per day. I bought all the single study cassettes and all the (paper) books Murray sold. I also recorded the broadcasts and ordered the (recorded) books I was too impatient to wait for on TV. I studied intensely with him like that for about four years. I also got married in front of Arnold Murray's desk, right there, downstairs in the studio.

I also started leading bible studies, teaching the same things that Arnold Murray taught me. As I continued to teach the things I learned from the Shepherd's Chapel, I strove to thoroughly document everything that I was saying (based on what I had learned from Murray). Unfortunately, through my further independent studies, I began to see that many of the things Arnold Murray had taught me were the result of poor scholarship and an essentially disrespectful attitude towards the text of the bible. I realized over the years that Arnold Murray had taught me to read a false narrative into the scriptures. I had itching ears, and he was the teacher I had heaped to myself.

I'm 41 now, and I have not stopped studying God's word since the days I was a pupil of Arnold Murray.

One of the most common mistakes Chapel students make about me is they underestimate me. They fail to know who their enemy is. They do this because they are overconfident, Arnold Murray corrupts them through flattery, tells them they are sharp for agreeing with him. No wonder it is so hard to get some of them to see. It's pride born out of flattery.

The gospel according to Murray: If you can see that what the bible says is actually not what really happened, then you are one "sharp" cookie, and you have a purpose and a destiny, but if not, you might be "just a little bit stupid. "

In his disrespect for the bible, Arnold Murray tells people Adam is not Cain's father, but there he is, right there in Cain's genealogy. And what I call blind, is anyone who can't see that.
