I had to take a little
time to listen to this guy because I've never heard of him, but he
certainly gets a lot of views on youtube.
When you tell me someone is KJV only (Or a KJV bible believer, as husky
would prefer it) that immediately sends up a red flag. I use the KJV
exclusively, in my teachings and in my music, but I have known for quite
some time, that my choice is one of taste or preference. When I hear
that someone believes that the KJV is itself a divinely inspired
translation, they immediately go, in my mind, into a special category of
person whose critical thinking, intellectual rigor, and logic are
deficient. It takes a sort of willing ignorance and dishonesty to
maintain that position over a long period of time and through
rigorous research. I watched him make some of his defense of the KJV,
and I could readily see that his approach was this: he had already
reached the conclusion that the KJV was the only Holy Bible in English,
and "sticking to his guns," come hell or high water, he was going to
stick-to and defend that position against any and all attacks. So it
does not matter how much evidence is presented, or whether his arguments
are logical or not, he determined the right position, and knowing
what it right, he continues to defend what he says is right, regardless
of the evidence to the contrary. Anyone who continues to adhere to the
KJV as the only inspired bible in English is not someone who is reliable
I looked at several of his other videos. His videos are mostly what I
would consider a form of Christian "pornography," by that I mean he is
constantly "laying bare" "exposing" "uncovering" and "stripping
naked" the people and ideas he opposes. There is nothing wrong with
exposing fraud, but there is a certain self-indulgent and gratuitous
quality to his work which I feel deserves that label. I look at his
video titles and find things like. "The false God of the post trib-
rapture" Based on his mischaracterization of those beliefs. That is the
general impression of the man, He likes to build straw-men, because
they are easy to knock down.
I kept looking for a video that was instructional in a book of the bible
or speaking to the depths of Salvation. But he does not seem to be that
sort of teacher. The video talking about salvation is one of the
shortest videos I saw on his channel. I find something very wrong with
a teacher who has more interest in making videos about enemies
(including his real-life neighbors) than in talking about the Gospel of
Jesus Christ and the riches that are found in his salvation. I never
feel that the subject gets boring or that I have exhausted what I might
say about it. I get excited about talking about how through his divine
power God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness,
that we may be partakers in the divine nature. I get excited talking
about that and the idea of obtaining that, as
much as possible, is what motivates me to teach others, that we all may
obtain to godliness and virtue by the power of God in Jesus Christ.
There is a whole lot to be said about that, but when Husky does his
salvation video, it's almost like he wanted it to be the most boring
video on his channel.
In all fairness, I can't say I listened to more than a few minutes of
any video. He was boring to me.
I suppose some people might say I am the pot that called the Kettle
black, after all I have that big page on Arnold Murray. I would
disagree and point out that the majority of my work is in teaching the
scriptures, book by book, line by line, to believers.
