Editorial Commentary: I had provided scripture to back up what I had said... I wanted him to do the same, but that was not going to happen. Here is the verse he should have quoted: 1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. But that excuse does not really work for Murray, he is not an unbeliever, is he? While God may forgive things done in ignorance. He is not obligated to. Hebrews 5:2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. Prophets can be held responsible for things said in ignorance, and that is especially true if they are unrepentant. All men are generally ignorant of God, but if he does not give us grace to repent, we will perish in our ignorance. Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. Comment: I believe I mentioned the blood moons elsewhere, or I did in email over the past year, and will soon be posting that. The blood moons are a farce and a misnomer. Pseudo-prophetic pop-cultural trash. They mean nothing. We watched one last summer, it was not very bloody. Return to "The Shepherd's Chapel and Dr. Arnold Murray" Main Page |
