Thank you for sharing. I, like you; began some serious searching into the word of God in the early 90's and can say that the Holy Spirit also showed me early on that the particular areas of "foolishness" of those self develop teachings, that Pastor Murray introduced into his "shepherding" and gave me a definite warning about not taking that as part of God's message his tony me.

My heart was very touched however by your comments about how those "seemingly innocent but yet calculated" deductions caused a young man's sincerely searching heart, like yours, to seek to belong to their particular group of people and share with them such important moments of your life as your wedding. But being, quickly; showed by His Spirit in you, the truth about man's heart and given the specially task to, in such gentle but forceful (using God's Word) point to many people's their erroneous tendency to fall in the trap of wanting to worship the messenger rather than the Creator.

Thank God, I am a minority woman from South America and I am maybe, too; accustomed to sense this subtle prejudices attached to all of us, some cause by cultural traditions, some from bad experiences, many from pride and/or ignorance.

I am also thankful that this "men's foolishness of preaching" also has awakening in me a true love to search and continue to abide in His Word for eternity
