Name Withheld,
They are human as you or I and are subject
to errors.
I have never said nor argued that any man is
incapable of error. But God is not a man, and God has charged those who
believe in his son that they should not hold the doctrine of Christ with
corruption.
Titus 2:7 In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works:
in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity,
sincerity,
If it is impossible to have the correct doctrine, then I do not
believe the Apostle would have given so much exhortation to the
keeping of sound doctrine, and to then dictate that the doctrine
of Christ should be unleavened and sound. What makes it hard
for men to keep the doctrine of Christ pure is man's insistence
on intruding into things God has not revealed and thus he begins
to rely on his imaginations.
They do a great service for our Lord
even though there are mistakes in teachings.
Not so. You are expressing a line of
thought that is contrary to what I have read in the scriptures.
Matt 16:11 How is it that ye do not
understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should
beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven
of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Beware of their doctrine. Beware. A little
leaven leavens the whole lump. And if that truth does not stir up the
spirit of God in your heart, then I know not what spirit you are of.
Let me tell you with all the gravity and
sincerity I can muster (because your above statement lacks any sense of
the true gravity of the situation). That if we give ourselves license
to do what we want with doctrine. Or if we excuse those who do dare to
leaven the doctrine of Christ to their own damnation. If we try to
assure ourselves that there are no consequences to the spreading of
false doctrine, we deceive ourselves and will not escape judgment.
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh
are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication...,
heresies, ... murders, ... and such like: of the which I
tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Heresy is no light thing. heresies
will prevent some from inheriting the kingdom of God. Flesh and blood
shall not inherit the kingdom of God, and neither shall heretics.
1Tim 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto
the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save
thyself, and them that hear thee.
You seem to think that "it's all good so
long as its done in Jesus name" That is a philosophy of man based on
pragmatism and not on the scriptures.
You are basing your idea on the
misapplication of Philippians 1:15
Philippians 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ
even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add
affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the
gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in
truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will
rejoice.
Paul is not saying that they preached a
false Gospel or false doctrine. Paul is questioning the motives of some
who preached Christ accurately but having ulterior motives. They spoke
the truth about Christ, but their motives were impure. They spoke the
truth concerning Christ but were not "true men"
"Whether in pretence, or in truth," is not
the same as saying whether preaching the truth or untruth. This passage
is only speaking of the personal motivations of some people.
When it comes to the content of what is
preached the bible is very clear that no leaven is acceptable.
2John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and
bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid
him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
The doctrine of Christ is not up for
compromise.
You have let the spirit of Satan
cause you to go astray and try to destroy those things of God.
Wow, That is a rather bold thing to say
considering that if you are wrong you are calling the spirit of God in
me the spirit of the Devil. And the Spirit of God is in me I know, not
because I just think it, or because I say so, but because he came to me
in power and according to the scriptures.
I say that your doctrine is a doctrine of
the devil. Because neither the spirit of God nor the scriptures lead us
to any such ideas as you are putting forward. Repent.
Because of men who exalt their own knowledge
and imaginations above the plain and simple knowledge offered by God in
the scriptures, we have many doctrines of men which interfere with the
simple communication of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of the sound
doctrine communicated by Christ and the Apostles. Your doctrine is just
another in a long list of heresies which are rampant and very popular in
the world today.
2Cor 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and
every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and
bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And
having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience
is fulfilled.
Sincerely,
Paul Stringini
