I have been studying with Shepherd's Chapel for the past 16 months... I too did my homework about the chapel AND I too found both negative & positive before I got to deep in anybody or man yes there are some things said ?? that have racial under tones ?? i can tell you this I have learned more about the word in 16mo.. then most of theses churches don't teach ??? Murray's reputation is on the line !!! it would only be right ?? thing for you to do ?? since your comments about the SCN aka Murray I found many black folks have posted on the net, saying pastor Murray is telling the truth chapter AND verse ?? so if your going to bare-witness against ?? email me at email withheld if its true I really want to know !!! he never begs for $$ he is the only 1 I know that teaches the bible ? and if he is a false teacher ?? then the devil ?? is sure keeping him his plate full $$$ the rest are all begging for $$$ in a time when $$$ is tight !!! but not for SCN  the past 4 years have been a living Hell... if it wasn't for my faith in the lords word :-) i truly believe I would of ended up in a insane hospital.. been praying for a good fellowship ? It is not just the racial undertones, it is his Jew-like emphasis on the importance of genealogy, pedigree and "mixing."

 

1Timothy1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

 

Pastor Murray's obsession with "pedigree" and genealogy is a clear warning sign that his heart has been corrupted from the simplicity of the gospel.  When you look at the way he teaches the parable of the tares and makes it about race it is really obvious that he totally missed the point.

 

Arnold's stories about sex with Satan in the garden of Eden and how the elect "stood against Satan the world that was" are clear  examples of "fables" which he corrupts the word of God with.  And if you have bought some of his single study tapes on the "Kenites"  you can see how important genealogy is to Arnold Murray.

 

The new testament spends a lot of time taking the emphasis off race.

 

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

 

Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

 

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

 

 Eve was the mother of all living, races are the product of genetic separation and isolation over time, races are not separate creations.  The bible does not teach that and science does not teach that, Arnold Murray teaches that.

i can tell you this i have learned more about the word in 16mo.. then most of theses churches don't teach ???

 

Arnold Murray was the only teacher I ever had.  So I can't comment about other churches.  Unlike Arnold who talks about other ministries all the time (not by name) and then struts and preens about how noble he is for never being critical of other ministries.

 

Arnold does not teach the bible, he teaches "other stuff"  about the bible,. but he does not teach the bible.  He teaches some of the bible and some of his own ideas that don't come out of the bible but come from men.  Serpent Seed, Common sense (another term for "The wisdom of Man, "  etc.

 

You didn't give me a lot to comment on, but I teach the bible too, I have all kinds of free line by line bible studies, you might get something out of it.  http://oraclesofgod.org/studies/index.htm  I wish I had more, but I got to work for a living right now.

 

Murray's reputation is on the line !!! it would only be right ?? thing for you to do ??

 

He was my Pastor, he is the only guy I really have anything to say about, I didn't leave SCN to go to some other denomination.

Black folks can be wrong too.  Just because they are black that doesn't mean that they can't be wrong about Murray.  Just because he doesn't hate blacks doesn't make what he says about race true.

That is a con-man trick, because he asks for money EVERY DAY, at the end of every broadcast he asks people to support the ministry "if we have helped you please help us keep this broadcast coming to you."  He does not sit there and BEG with a tear in his eye, but "beg" is really just another word for "ask" and Murray sure asks for donations all the time, he sells books CD's and everything for donations. 

 

He never gets down on his knees and cries and begs for money, but 80% of preachers don't do that either.  I'm not a fan of Charles Stanley, but I've never hear him beg either. 

 

What I don't like is that this is a dirty trick, because he makes people think he doesn't do what everyone else does,  but he does do it.

 

Charles Stanley  never begs, but he never goes around tooting his horn saying "I never beg."\

 

Remember what Jesus said about "do not sound a trumpet before" you when you do alms?  That is what Murray is doing "tadatadautatdaaaa!  I NEVER BEG!  Not like those OTHER ministers!"  If that is not "holier than thou"  I don't know what is.

 

That is the number one thing I don't like about Murray, the way he uses con-man tricks like that, and cons like "don't listen to this man,"  That is just a trick to get people to trust him.  I trusted him, even when I checked him out and it didn't totally make sense, I figured it would eventually make sense.  But eventually I just couldn't listen to it anymore and I studied by myself.  Thank God he finally taught me what I couldn't figure out on my own.

Well, his plate is full but that does not really mean anything one way or the other.

 

Psalm 73:12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

Wow, I feel for you, I have had some tough times myself,  I rejoice that you have faith in the word of God, My teachings are not about stuff in the garden and ages that we don't know anything about.   I teach the practical side of Christianity,  how to obtain the promises of God in the spirit,  how to get strong inside yourself, by the power of God.  Christianity is not a set of "Amazing facts" Christianity is about how we live our lives, that is what I focus on.  Check out my teachings, even if you don't agree with everything, I promise you will get good things out of it,  I wish you all the best in Christ.  I know how hard it can be to find good people who believe in the Lord and really love each other and take it seriously.

Babel ?? its hard to now who is true and who isn't ?? yes Murray has a lot of bad P.R. it scares me all the way to my bones  i do now one thing he says is a real truth !! the bible is not being taught ? in the churches in theses days ? and for people that are truley sincere..and need True teachers of Fathers word....i don't understand is why people like as you say Murray  things like 3 earth ages ??? is way behond my realm ... am just a baby ? am still trying get the whole Kenite-thing ?? it worries me is why God allows people like Murray to prosper ? and he...Arnold Murray was the only teacher PAUL ever had  another brother sent me just a few days ago..a email about the same page you are on ...and said try this bible teacher..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=126i8D9JVFk and i will look at yours as also  i need to build my faith up....as god says to do....faith comes by hearing by the word of god i seek to holy understand !!! because it is hard to get to the meat...without a true pastor that knows how to ?? dig in deep like with understanding ?? even a bible for dummys like myself  can truely get to the heart of the matter  I am the truth the way and the life... keep intouch brother thank you  Name Withheld
