Hi xxxxx

i have a brother that tells me that he does not teach a local flood.
i know that hugh ross does.

Dr. Murray does not teach a global flood, but he did used to suggest the idea, at least one time referring to Noah's flood as "Noah's little ol' flood"  One of the reasons Dr. Murray used to suggest a local flood is that he needs to get the "Kenites" on the Ark in order to sustain his Kenite doctrine.  One way to do this is by invoking a local flood.  In the 90's it seemed that Dr. Murray was discarding the idea in favor of the "8 Souls" on the Ark was only referring to "Adamic Souls" (i.e. not Kenites, therefore the Kenites were on the Ark because their souls were not "Adamic")

That is what he teaches and it just is not in the Bible, it is based on supposition assumption and nonsense.  For the record, I used to really want to believe in a local flood, I got a little irritated when he started backing off the idea, but I find it hard to get around the language of Gen 6...

The end of all flesh is come before me; ..., behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Even so, I do think it is possible, but really, the extent of the flood is about as significant to me as the extent of Jesus hair growth.

will you point me to the publication that teaches it.

The local flood? Hugh Ross's Creation and Time, but I do believe Dr. Murray has been abandoning the idea of a local flood, I think because it is unpopular (since at least the early 90's) and difficult to teach, given the way Gen 6 is written.  It is a lot less complicated to fudge the numbers and get the Kenites on the Ark by saying they were a different kind of soul.

who does arnold think that the descendants of seth are?

The Adamic Race, in Dr. Murray's doctrine, Adamic souls are white people.  So the Ark would probably have at least two black souls, a few yellow souls, etc. etc.  because Dr. Murray denies that God, "hath made of one, all nations of men."  (Unless it is "one" dust)

who are the british isralites?

It is more complicated than that, I do not believe that I have ever heard the phrase "British Israelites" come out of Dr. Murray's mouth.  There is a whole school of thinking that goes into what outsiders call "British Israelite" doctrine and a whole library of books, it is the Danes (Dan), Dutch (Issachar), and Germans (Judah, ironic, huh?) And more I won't go into.  My whole  problem with the issue is, "So what?"

lastly for now who in his view the kenites?

The Kenites are the sons of Cain (of Eve and Satan) commonly mistaken for the Jewish people.

Sincerely,
Paul Stringini
