Subject: True Israelite Questions.....

Hello,

I've recently started dating a Man who listens to Arnold Murray and his Bible studies are centered around Mr. Murray's teachings. I've recently started listening to these tapes and going over the verses with him and although at first they struck my as odd and out of context I ddin't really think anything of it until he asked me about my heritage.

I was advised our Relationship couldn't go any further until he verified my hertiage. At first I thought "Oh my goodness" I'm dating a racist (I'm white by the way) however he assured me he is not a racist and is just going by God's word that the races should not be mixed. Okay fine, although I whole heartedly disagree with this as I have found no scripture to back this up I could kinda of understand but when he told me the reason he  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (section removed, too personal) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This really rubbed me the wrong way and still does as now my hertiage has become a requirement that I must meet if I want to continue to date him. With any other Man I would have said Adios, however, I've fallen in love with him and can't imagine my life without him.

I spent two days praying for guidance and direction as maybe he wasn't the Man God meant for me to be with but in all that praying I was also frightened that I'd lose the one Man who completed me because of race. That second night I received guideance and direction as that's when I started researching Arnold Murray and nothing I found on him was good and went against everything I believed in, against what the Bible stated. I now knew where my Boyfriend was coming from but now I faced an even bigger hurdle, fighting the teachings of a Man he has listened to most of his life, getting him to open his eyes and research without the materials and tapes of Arnold Murray. Only God can do this.

I'm needing to know what a true Israelite is? Is Italian bad? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Additional Personal Information Withheld) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Based on this information will I lose him? Is my heritage not good enough (although I'm proud of my heritage-make no mistake about that)?

If it is then I have to get him to research and get him to debate with him on the teachings of Arnold Murray before I can let him know my hertiage ,otherwise, he'lll walk away. I believe he has really strong feelings for me but I don't have faith enough that it will keep him with me once he finds out about my heritage. God willing he'll keep us together.

Any information you have (which you website has proved very informative and helpful) would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

God Bless,

XXXXXXX, I hope the Lord brings your husband to his senses.  I'm a quarter Italian, but my name is Italian and I look Mediterranean,  Arnold Murray himself wedded me to my very white and Irish looking wife (though he seemed slightly uncomfortable, but maybe that was just my perception)  My perception is that the Italians are a mixed race; Roman and Barbarian, all my Italian ancestors had blue eyes, but mine are brown (from my Irish grandmother)   Native American?  I'm guessing that he will not care for that... but according to some of the books from the chapel  (your boyfriend may not have read them)  the Israelites (Irish) also migrated to North America, you may suggest that you could be one of their ancestors.

Being a "lost Israelite" is nothing more than saying "We are the children of them that forsook God."  What a wonderful heritage.

God did not make separate races as Murray suggests, Acts 17:26 "And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;"  Dr. Murray is quick to point out that the word "blood" is not in the Greek text.  Ok, so  "And hath made of one ___ all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth"  That is supposed to change something? One what? ONE MAN! ONE WHATEVER!  But it is ONE.  All nations come of ONE.

In the old testament the Israelites were not allowed to marry their children to the "people of the land" (though this rule was broken many times (even in the line of Jesus Christ))  But the people of the land were of the same race as the Israelites, the prohibition on "mixing" had to do with the gods of the people, not their race, because it was all the same (race).

As things currently stand you and your boyfriend will violate the Lord's prohibition against mixing if you marry; because you are not a wholehearted follower of your boyfriend's religion.  That can create real problems, especially if he does not realize that you are not the same religious "race" as him.   I would caution you against hiding your true feelings too long (like, until after you are married, bad idea)  I don't think your situation is without hope...but it also may be.

I know that as a young man I was very zealous for the things of Dr. Murray, he is a very engaging personality  and teaches with authority, one of the greatest things I learned from Arnold Murray is "Don't listen to any man without checking him out in God's word"  that does not just mean "look up the verses to see if they are there" it also means to look AT the verses and see if they really say what he says they say.  If your boyfriend stays true to that and does not simply look to the word to confirm the word of Dr. Murray he will be ok.

Another thing, Jesus said that these were the "weightier matters"  Judgment, Mercy, and Faith.  In Christ are we truly going to be judged based on the "racial purity" of our spouse?  And if not, then who cares?  If the judgment of God is not going forth against it, who cares?  In a nation filled with all manner of sin we are going to determine righteousness by ancestor?

I know that the followers of this insist it is not racism and such but it is, it is racial pride and it is FOOLISHNESS the Apostle Paul called it "dung" (and I really wanted to type the common modern word for "dung")  It is not racism of hatred but racism of pride.

This is what the Apostle Paul had to say about it

Phil3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Some would deny that being an Israelite gives them any "confidence (toward God) in the flesh.  Then I say, "What then is the profit?"

4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

He considered being an Israelite a "loss" witch means a negative thing,  why?  Because it is one more pride issue, one more fleshly confidence to get through to what really pleases God, a broken heart, a contrite spirit.

If there is anything further I can do to aid you simply ask

Sincerely,
Paul
